workstations

All workstations come with a power cord, and a basic wired USB mouse and keyboard if requested. Full system specs, configuration, and notes are documented in the second picture of each respective items gallery. If you need help picking out a system, have questions, or the specs of what I currently have won’t suit your needs (consider a custom build in that case): call me during normal business hours for assistance.

Dell Precision Tower 7820 Workstation Intel Xeon Platinum 8165 x2 Nvidia Quadro P2000 x2 96GB RAM 512GB SSD 4TB HDD x2: $1500

This Workstation is equipped with two 24-core/48-thread Xeon processors bringing in a combined total of 48-cores/96-threads. If you’re after the ultimate in CPU performance with scalability, this is the most robust system I currently have. The dual Quadro P2000s can operate in SLI without a physical bridge (easily enabled via the Nvida control panel) or just run them as independent GPUs which in turn can drive up to a combined total of 8 monitors. Code comp, day trading, engineering, local server, tons of VMs, whatever you need, you’ll be hard pressed to find this much processing in a relatively small factor at this price point.

Dell Precision Tower 7810 Workstation Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 x2 Nvidia Quadro K4200 64GB RAM 512GB SSD 2TB HDD x2: $850

This Workstation is equipped with two 16-core/32-thread Xeon processors bringing in a combined total of 32-cores/64-threads. This will make for an excellent code compilation system, local server, VM box, CAD, or any type of CPU heavy workload. It is also highly upgrade-able.

Dell Precision Tower 5810 Workstation Intel Xeon E5-2687W v4 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 32GB RAM 256GB SSD 512GB SSD 2TB HDD: $680

This Workstation is configured to be both work and play. This platform is an excellent all rounder for someone needing scalability for system memory, expansion cards/devices, and wanting to do work and play games.

Alternative Configuration: Dell Precision Tower 5810 Workstation Intel Xeon E5-4660 V4 Nvidia Quadro K4200 32GB RAM 512GB SSD 2TB HDD: $580

I have another T5810 on hand kitted with a Xeon E5-4660 V4 (16-cores/32-threads), runs 4×8GB of DDR4-2133 RDIMMs, has a Quadro K4200 4GB GDDDR5 GPU, and nearly identical storage configuration (drops the 256GB SSD; runs just a single 512GB SSD). This is a better pick at a lower cost if you don’t need as powerful of a graphics card but would otherwise benefit from a higher core count CPU and benefit from ECC memory.

ASUS Expertcenter D500SD SFF Workstation intel Core i3-12100 AMD Radeon RX6400 32GB RAM 256GB NVMe x2: $650

This small form factor workstation PC can be used as a local media server, CAD system, content creation, gaming PC, or living room entertainment center PC. It sports one of the best consumer class low-profile graphics cards currently available on the market: the AMD Radeon RX 6400 which are tough to find given how vastly under-served the LP GPU market is. For additional airflow and improved thermals, I’ve custom mounted a Noctua 120mm Redux fan to help pull in additional air.

Dell Precision Tower 3620 Workstation Intel Xeon E3-1270 v6 Nvidia Quadro M2000 32GB RAM 512GB SSD: $440

This compact mini-tower workstation PC makes for an excellent budget option for simple CAD work, engineering software, coding, or any other form of productivity. While not specifically designed for gaming, the Quadro in this system might be able to run some games as the performance on offer is comparable to a GTX 950 (or AMD RX 560).

Alternative Configuration: Dell Precision Tower 3620 Workstation Intel Core i7-7700 Nvidia Quadro P1000 32GB RAM 512GB SSD: $440

This is an alternative but overall quite identical configuration that uses an i7-7700 and P1000 instead. You do gain integrated graphics which can be leveraged in certain workloads if you choose, if nothing else but to offer additional monitor support (this system could drive up to 7 displays). These chips are very similar in performance to the above. However, this system does not have the multi-card reader, but instead has a DVD-RW drive.
